The Camargue ecosystem is characterized by a great natural wealth: fresh water, sea water, soils, relief, climate. A magical place for the observation of thousands of birds, but also of bulls and horses in freedom in the ‘filouses’, typical pastures of the brackish lagoons of Camargue.Escapade that from May to July, when the days are at their longest, as we go 10 hours together.

Stop the city of Arles, the ‘Parc naturel régional de Camargue’ and Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, the place of pilgrimage of the travellers. Ppossibility of swimming…(take your bathing suit).

On the way back, passing Saint-Gilles.

The price includes

Departure from Uzès (or 10 km around), the road to the capital of the Camargue: +/- 1h30

Trip only from May to July, when the days are at their longest, as we go 10 hours together.

First stop the city of Arles – capital of the Camargue, but also Roman city.

Crossing the ‘Parc naturel régional de Camargue’ to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, the place of pilgrimage of the travellers; with visit of the church, possibility of swimming…

On the way back, passing along the rice fields and Saint-Gilles.

 

The price does not include
Possible paying services :

  • the arena and the ancient theater 9,00€/pers.
  • Cryptoportiques 4,50€/pers.
  • the cloister St Trophime 5,50€/pers.

 

You have two choies of meal:

  •  a picnic lunch with local specialities and drinks at 15€ per person
  • a table in a restaurant between 20 and 30€ per person, plus the guide-driver’s meal (at 20€).

Difficulty

Good shoes, binoculars and a camera!

Take suitable clothing (sun hat, windbreaker, sunglasses) and mosquito repellent and other insects and sun protection!

Bathing suit for a delicious swim in the sea

Accessibility

My tours are accessible to all: children, adults, seniors and people with handicapes*.

I don’t have seat belts in the back of my cars (vintage cars) so if you need a seat belt attachment or other hardware, it will be difficult. Let me know what you need.

*Please use my contact form to send me your needs and expectations. The wheelchair equipment does not fit in a 2CV, but the alternative is possible – with the Estafette (minivan).
